Our commitment to accessibility

Notioff is committed to making our website and Service usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe that a calm, focused workspace should be available to everyone, and we work to design and build experiences that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Accessibility is an important part of how we think about product quality, and we treat it as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time task.

Standards we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a goal. Published by the World Wide Web Consortium, these internationally recognized guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. Level AA is a widely used target for websites and applications because it addresses the most common and significant barriers people encounter.

While we strive to align with this standard across our site, we recognize that some areas may not yet fully conform, and we are working to close any gaps over time. Where a particular page or feature does not yet meet our goal, we aim to provide an accessible alternative on request.

Measures we take

To support accessibility, we apply a range of practices in our design and development, including:

  • Semantic HTML. We use meaningful structure, headings, and landmarks so content is easier to navigate with assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard navigation. We aim to make interactive elements reachable and operable using a keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
  • Visible focus states. We provide visible focus indicators so it is clear which element is selected as you move through a page.
  • Sufficient color contrast. We design text and interface elements with contrast in mind to support readability.
  • Alternative text. We provide text alternatives for meaningful images so their purpose can be conveyed by assistive technologies.
  • Respecting reduced-motion preferences. We aim to honor system settings that request reduced motion, limiting non-essential animation for people who prefer it.
  • Assistive technology compatibility. We aim to support common screen readers and other assistive technologies by using standard, accessible markup.
  • Resizable text and responsive layouts. We build pages that adapt to zoom and smaller screens so content stays readable when text is enlarged.
  • Clear, consistent navigation. We use descriptive links, labels, and a predictable layout so pages are easier to understand and move through.
  • Accessible forms. We aim to label form fields clearly and to present error messages in a way that is easy to identify and correct.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is a continuous effort. We regularly review our site and Service, make improvements, and consider accessibility as we build new features. Our reviews combine automated checks with manual testing, such as navigating with a keyboard and checking how content is announced by assistive technologies.

Because our product evolves and includes content created by users, the level of accessibility may vary across different areas and over time. Content that customers create in their own workspaces depends in part on the choices those authors make, such as adding descriptive text to the images they upload. When we identify issues in the parts of the experience we control, we prioritize and work to address them, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
